i met lia of “lia’s bridal” back in 2007 when she opened up shop in punxsy. originally from scottdale, pa, she and i immediately clicked, we were both young professionals, with big dreams, and lots of drive. lia was working full time at IUP, coaching a local high school cheerleading squad while opening up her store and running it in the evenings. i was working full time in sales in the corporate world, and running my “part-time/full-time side business” at the same time. i luckily got to know her thru my sales job, which led to a quick friendship.
i remember sitting up in her shop going thru the books and books of bridal dresses, thinking of what i would wear for my wedding (at that time with no ring
and lia had no brad….) and we would both go back and forth about what dresses we liked and what we thought we would wear…..and the thoughts of “are we ever going to get married??” were mentioned too….hahaha…..and of course when i did get engaged, i went to lia to get EVERYTHING! and here we are a few years later, lia is engaged to brad and couldn’t be more happy. although lia’s bridal is still in business in punxsy, lia and brad live in west palm beach, florida. i was thrilled when lia contacted me to shoot her west palm beach wedding this november! and we weren’t sure if things would work themselves out……..but they did, and i am so so so excited to be traveling to florida in less than a month to shoot her big day!!
anyways back to sweet lia and brad……they were up to “the burgh” last weekend for some bridal festivities and engagement shoot was first on the list! of course that friday was calling for an all day rain and windy weather…..
and we knew we just had to shoot in it, if push came to shove….we would make it work. i arrived to pittsburgh at 3pm, and the sun came out, and was out for the whole shoot! amazingness! annnndddd….we even got a rainbow at the end of the night! with no rain in sight! lia and brad…….i can not wait to capture this love all over again on your wedding day! much love to you!
